Mason McGowin spent much of his youth hunting and learning how to document his adventures with a camera. So, when he started his photography business, Clean Shot, it was the perfect opportunity to combine his passions.
Sensing a unique business opportunity, he focused on companies that took their clients hunting, rather than golfing. He would shadow the hunters for their weekend hunting trips and shoot photos as they enjoyed their weekend. Afterwards, he would deliver a custom hunting journal of the event to the client and their guests.
Since his target market was largely C-Level executives, we pursued a brand concept that would offer rustic hunting imagery with an upscale polish.
The logo was designed with a nod back to fine engravings found on older shotguns. Since their business needed to make a strong first impression, and we wanted the cards to be retained, we created stainless steel business cards with a buffed, matte surface that mimicked the surface of shotgun barrels.
UP-Ideas also created a promotional brochure that was designed in a style similar to the hunting journals he would later deliver to his clients.
