Cowbunnies
Just before Thanksgiving, Susie Stern called us to give her a hand in launching her new brand, Cowbunnies. She had been producing her designer bags locally, but an investor had stepped in and they were taking it national. The first step was to show their bags at the New York Fashion Show.
Problem was, the show opened January 10th!
We had just 2 weeks to put together a design presentation and proposal of the items needed: business cards, letterhead, notecards, media kit, catalog, website design, and a 10’ x 20’ trade show booth. And we had to know that it could all be produced and delivered to New York by January 9th.
We lined up our vendors (offset printer, letterpress printer, large format printer, metal fabricator) and delivered a presentation on December 7th. At the end of the presentation, we told them that we could meet their deadline, but only if they gave us the green light the next day. With Christmas and New Year’s coming up, we needed every single minute to meet the deadline.
They agreed and we kicked it into high gear.
Frankly, we’re still not sure how our vendors managed to hit the deadline for the fabrication of the booth walls and custom displays (complete with under shelf LED lighting). But they did. Our printer went above and beyond — on New Year’s day, while everyone else was nursing hangovers, we were at his facility press checking the accordion catalog.
With all our vendor’s help, we nailed the delivery deadline and everything arrived in New York, perfect, and ready for the show.
